Mumbai, Sept. 16 -- COMEX Copper futures gained today as metals edged higher after recent losses. The red metal moved up from a seven-week low on supportive equities and COMEX Copper futures are currently quoting at $6.52 per pound, up 1.25% on the day. MCX Copper futures are also up 0.71% at Rs 1375.30 per kg, holding gains above Rs 1370 per kg. Meanwhile, in Asia, China's Shanghai Composite index added 0.71%. Hong Kong's Hang Seng index rose 0.19% while Japanese Nikkei index gained 0.69%. European stocks rose today and major indices are up around half a percent.
