Mumbai, Oct. 1 -- COMEX copper renews downside near a two-week low on Thursday as dollar stays firm amid elevated oil prices. Mixed economic data from China is also keeping the red metal on sidelines. Industrial profits in China rose 15.7% in the first eight months from a year earlier, slowing from a 17.6% increase recorded during January-July while another data showed China's manufacturing sector returned to growth in September, improving the demand outlook in the world's largest metals consumer. Currently, the counter is quoting at $6.60 per pound, down 0.32% on the day.
