Nairobi, Feb. 11 -- The National Treasury is in the dark about billions of shillings spent or mobilised towards combating climate change, an audit has revealed, raising questions on accountability of the massive financial flows into Kenya to help mitigate the impact of global warming.

A special report by Auditor-General Nancy Gathungu revealed that the Finance ministry does not have a system for tracking and reporting on climate financing.
