Nairobi, July 29 -- The Public Service Commission (PSC) has issued a 14-day ultimatum to the Kenya Electricity Transmission Company (Ketraco) board to respond to a petition seeking the removal of its acting managing director, piling pressure on the leadership of the State-owned firm.

In a letter dated July 16, and addressed to Ketraco board chairman Mohamed Abdi, PSC chief executive Paul Famba warned that the commission will proceed to determine the matter without further reference to the board if it fails to respond within the stipulated period.
