Nairobi, April 7 -- A committee of the National Assembly wants loan agreements for future energy projects to include compensation for wayleaves to help curb delays in implementation.

The committee on energy has directed Principal Secretaries for Energy and the National Treasury to ensure that adequate counterpart funding is ring-fenced for wayleave payments to support timely project completion.
