Global firms face deadline for tougher tax regulations
Nairobi, Nov. 2 -- Multinationals with minimum annual revenues of Sh110 billion in at least two of the past four years face a November 17 deadline to notify the Kenya Revenue Authority (KRA) under new rules that introduce additional reporting requirements and potential tax bills in Kenya.
The rules require large business groups to calculate how much tax they pay in each country and make additional payments where their effective tax rate falls below 15 percent of profits made in Kenya.
