Nairobi, July 13 -- Demand for presidential-style villas in the Maasai Mara is on the rise, but it is no longer driven solely by the A-list celebrities who occasionally visit Kenya. Instead, wealthy families travelling with grandparents, parents and children are emerging as the biggest customers.

Now lodges are responding to the growing demand by building standalone villas set apart from the main accommodation to give the guests more privacy.

The spacious residences come with multiple bedrooms and bathrooms, dining areas and private lounges, and some with bullet-proof windows.
