Srinagar, April 17, April 18 -- A recently constructed pedestrian footbridge in Mehjoor Nagar area of Srinagar has come under scrutiny after reports of theft, vandalism, and safety concerns, including missing metal components and tampering with electrical infrastructure. The footbridge, built at a reported cost of Rs.4.95 crore by the Lakes and Rivers Waterways Development (LRWD) under the Srinagar Municipal Corporation (SMC), has seen the disappearance of several decorative metal spheres installed atop its railings.
