Srinagar, July 27 -- The terms in the alliterative phrase "Lost Generation" are so closely connected that they cannot easily be separated from each other. The term "Lost Generation" was coined by the American writer Gertrude Stein, who used it while referring to her automobile driver and later applied it to the generation that had been deeply affected by the trauma of the First World War.
