Srinagar Airport expansion delayed to 2031
Srinagar, Sep 9, Sept. 10 -- The planned expansion of Srinagar International Airport has crossed an earlier official completion deadline without the major construction work being completed, while the latest project timeline places completion as far out as 2031. A Civil Aviation Ministry annual report for 2022-23 had listed the construction of a new integrated terminal building at Srinagar Airport at an estimated cost of Rs.1,400 crore, with the project shown as being in the planning stage and the Project Management Consultancy in progress.
