Imphal, Oct 11, Oct. 12 -- In a major security push in the Northeast, formations under the Spear Corps, in coordination with Manipur Police, apprehended an active cadre of a proscribed organisation in Imphal East district of Manipur and recovered three weapons, ammunition and other stores. In a separate operation, Assam Rifles personnel under the Spear Corps apprehended a Myanmar national allegedly attempting to enter India illegally in Mizoram's Champhai district. One weapon and ammunition were recovered from his possession.According to the operational details, the operation in Manipur was launched on the basis of specific intelligence inputs.
