Srinagar, March 28 -- J&K Assembly Speaker Abdul Rahim Rather, following a discussion on the assassination attempt on former Chief Minister Dr Farooq Abdullah, described him as an internationally respected figure who dedicated his work to J&K's welfare, development and communal harmony. He remembered that Dr Abdullah took the reins of J&K in very difficult times and worked tirelessly to navigate the then State from hardships.
