Sopore, Sep 3, Sept. 4 -- Sopore Police has attached two buildings, six shops and two kanals of land at Dooru after completing legal proceedings under the Unlawful Activities (Prevention) Act in a case involving properties allegedly linked to the proscribed Jamaat-e-Islami Jammu & Kashmir. The action was taken during the investigation of FIR No. 42/2025 registered at Police Station Sopore under Sections 10 and 13 of the UA(P) Act.According to police, scrutiny of official and revenue records, along with verification from the concerned authorities, established the alleged linkage of the properties with Jamaat-e-Islami J&K.The properties comprise the premises of Islamia Model School at Dooru, which has remained closed since 2022.
