Ganderbal, Oct 15, Oct. 16 -- Chief Minister Omar Abdullah Thursday said that the picturesque meadow of Sonamarg in central Kashmir will be transformed into a premier adventure and winter sports destination over the coming years. Talking to reporters after inauguration of the 70th National school games in Ganderbal, Omar said that earlier the Sonamarg used to remain closed during winter and it has been only a year or so after the Sonamarg tunnel was opened that Sonamarg is accessible in winters."With the construction of the tunnel, Sonamarg is now accessible throughout the year.
