SKUAST-K showcases Kashmir's rice biodiversity
Khudwani, Aug 31, Sept. 1 -- Sher-e-Kashmir University of Agricultural Sciences and Technology of Kashmir (SKUAST-K) showcased its rich legacy of rice research, biodiversity conservation and climate-resilient crop technologies through a live exhibition of Temperate Rice Biodiversity at the Mountain Research Centre for Field Crops (MRCFC), Khudwani. Established in 1942, MRCFC has over eight decades of experience in developing rice, rapeseed and wheat varieties suited to Kashmir's diverse agro-climatic conditions, ranging from temperate valley floors to cold high-altitude areas exceeding 2,000 metres.
