SKIMS Bemina suspends five for ragging
Srinagar, Oct 2, Oct. 3 -- The SKIMS Medical College Hospital, Bemina has suspended five MBBS students and interns for one week and imposed a fine of Rs.10,000 on each following their reported involvement in a ragging incident at the institution. An order issued by the Principal, SKIMS Medical College Bemina, states that the students/interns were involved in an incident of ragging which constituted a "gross violation" of the University Grants Commission (UGC) Anti-Ragging Regulations.Those suspended include Shubham Verma and Sunil Verma from Batch 2023, Shahdev from Batch 2024, and interns Rupal Suntal and Lavish Sharma from Batch 2021.The action was taken on the recommendation of the institution's Anti-Ragging Committee.
