Srinagar, Aug 14, Aug. 15 -- Security has been beefed up across Jammu and Kashmir for smooth and peaceful conduct of Independence Day functions in the UT. The main I-Day function in J&K will be held at Bakshi Stadium Srinagar, where Chief Minister Omar Abdullah will unfurl the tricolor and take the salute.Tight security arrangements have been put in place in Srinagar and other districts of the Valley to ensure peace and smooth conduct of I-Day functions. "The security deployment in sensitive areas has been increased.
