Srinagar, Sept. 21 -- Drug abuse is no longer a distant social concern for Jammu and Kashmir. It is steadily reaching our homes, schools, colleges and neighbourhoods, with young people increasingly vulnerable to addiction. The danger is not merely the consumption of drugs; it is the quiet destruction of ambition, health, family bonds and the future of an entire generation. The growing involvement of youngsters is particularly disturbing. Adolescence and early adulthood are years meant for learning, building careers and discovering one's potential.
