Rs.27.3-Crore drug haul seized in Jiribam
Jiribam , Aug 21, Aug. 22 -- Security forces have intensified their campaign against narcotics trafficking in Manipur, with the Assam Rifles under the Spear Corps, in coordination with the state Police, intercepting a boat carrying suspected contraband in Jiribam. Acting on intelligence inputs, the joint team intercepted the boat and launched a swift pursuit. Six individuals were apprehended during the operation, officials said.The operation led to the recovery of approximately 90,000 Yaba tablets, estimated to be worth around Rs.27 crore, along with 48 grams of heroin valued at about Rs.28.80 lakh.
