Jammu, July 30, July 31 -- : The Jammu district administration has suspended a revenue official and initiated proceedings for dismissal from service after verifying a complaint alleging that money was demanded for issuing an income certificate. According to the District Magistrate, Jammu, a citizen approached the Deputy Commissioner's office alleging that he had to pay money to obtain an income certificate.The administration said the complaint was promptly verified and found to be prima facie true, following which the official concerned was placed under suspension.
