Srinagar, Nov. 7 -- The National Institute of Technology (NIT) Srinagar on Friday marked 150 years of Vande Mataram with a commemorative event that also saw the launch of a "Tobacco-Free Youth Campaign" on the campus. The dual programme, aimed at promoting patriotism and public health awareness, was jointly coordinated by NSS Coordinator Dr. Pramod Yadav, ANO NCC Lt. Dr. Nitika Kundan, and EBSB Cell Coordinator Dr. Ashok Kumar. The event began with a collective pledge and the mass singing of Vande Mataram, symbolizing unity and national pride. This was followed by a Tobacco Awareness Rally, during which participants raised slogans such as "Tobacco-Free India," "Tobacco-Free Campus," and "Tobacco-Free Me."
