Srinagar, Sept. 11 -- The National Health Mission Employees Association (JKNHMEA) has extended its ongoing strike across Jammu and Kashmir by another 72 hours, citing the government's failure to address their long-pending demands. The association said the strike, which was scheduled to conclude, will now continue from September 12, 2026. The decision was conveyed to the Mission Director, National Health Mission, J&K. According to the association, the extension was decided due to the non-fulfilment of their demands and the absence of any concrete, time-bound assurance from the authorities.
