Jammu, July 18, July 18 -- The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) has seized five kilograms of high-grade heroin valued at over Rs.25 crore in Jammu and Kashmir's Poonch district, in a major anti-narcotics operation near the Line of Control. The operation was conducted in Kosalyain village of Haveli tehsil, a forward area close to the LoC, based on specific intelligence regarding a suspected cross-border drug consignment. Officials said the heroin was allegedly smuggled from across the border and was to be moved further into the hinterland through an organised trafficking network.
