Srinagar, July 10 -- A minor boy lost his life after drowning in the Vishow stream at Hassanpora Bagh in south Kashmir's Kulgam district on Friday, officials said. According to officials, the boy accidentally slipped into the stream and was swept into the water. Local residents rushed to the spot, retrieved him from the stream, and shifted him to Sub District Hospital, Bijbehara. Doctors at the hospital declared him brought dead. The deceased has been identified as Hazim Showkat, son of Showkat Ahmad Ganie, a resident of Hassanpora Bagh in Kulgam. Police have registered the incident and initiated further legal proceedings.
