Srinagar, Feb. 25 -- Renowned Urdu poet Pandit Brij Narayan Chakbast defines life in the following words:Zindagi kya hai? Anasir mein Zahur e tarteebMaut kya hai? Inhi ajza ka pireshan hona. (What is life? It is nothing but the appearance of elements in a systematic sequence. And what is life? Dispersion of these same elements.)This appears to be one of the best and most appropriately expressed meanings in a poetic form. Even Khan Hasnain Aaqib penned a couplet:Zindagi apne liye jaise izafi ungliZindagi tujh ko azeez aise, Mahajan ko sood.(For me, life is an extra (sixth) finger which is mostly of no use and looks ugly. And the same life for you is as dear and essential as interest is to the moneylender.) This is the innovative simile use...
