Rajouri, April 18, April 19 -- Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha joined a padyatra and addressed a public rally under the Drug-Free J&K campaign, stressing a decisive crackdown on drug smuggling in the sensitive border district.He highlighted that since April 11, police have registered over 45 FIRs, arrested 63 smugglers, and seized large quantities of narcotics in Jammu division. Calling addiction a "societal wound," Sinha said a 100-day campaign aims to dismantle drug networks through strict enforcement and public participation.He emphasized prevention, awareness among youth, and strict action against traffickers, while calling for coordinated efforts to ensure rehabilitation and eliminate drug abuse.
