Srinagar, Oct 11, Oct. 12 -- The Lakes Conservation and Management Authority (LCMA) has demolished the plinth of a proposed hotel at Takia Sangri in the Hazratbal green belt on the outskirts of Srinagar after detecting a deviation from the approved construction parameters. An LCMA enforcement squad rushed to the spot after receiving information about the construction and demolished a portion of the structure.However, locals have questioned the extent of the demolition, alleging that the action was limited to a portion of the plinth while construction machinery and other material remained at the site.
