Srinagar, Aug. 29 -- Deputy Commissioner (DC) Kupwara, Shrikant Balasaheb Suse today convened a meeting of concerned officers to review the progress of Building and Other Construction Workers Welfare Scheme and Other Welfare Schemes.ALC Kupwara apprised the meeting about the progress and achievements of the Labour department Kupwara. It was informed that 268635 unorganised workers are registered on e-Shram Portal in district Kupwara.He informed about different schemes run by the department including JKBOCW WELFARE scheme where-in 54152 construction workers are registered and Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maan-dhan (PM-SYM) under which 7463 beneficiaries are registered in the district.
