Kishtwar, Daksum & Gurez face nature's fury
Srinagar, July 19, July 20 -- Jammu and Kashmir witnessed multiple cloudburst incidents on Sunday as intense rainfall triggered sudden flash floods, damaging roads, infrastructure and disrupting normal life in parts of Kishtwar, Daksum in south Kashmir and Gurez Valley in north Kashmir. The incidents occurred amid a weather alert issued by the Meteorological Department warning of heavy to extremely heavy rainfall across several districts of the Union Territory.A cloudburst struck parts of Kishtwar district, causing a sudden rise in water levels of local streams and triggering flash floods in affected areas.The intense downpour led to damage to roads, disruption of connectivity and accumulation of debris at several locations.
