Joint security operations in Manipur lead to arrest of nine militants
Imphal, July 13, July 14 -- In a major counter-insurgency success, joint security forces apprehended nine suspected militant cadres and recovered a cache of arms, ammunition, explosives and other war-like stores during a series of intelligence-based operations conducted across Manipur between July 4 and July 11. The coordinated operations were launched by formations of the Indian Army and Assam Rifles under the Spear Corps, in close coordination with the Manipur Police and the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF).According to official sources, the operations were carried out in both the hill and valley districts of Kakching, Imphal East, Churachandpur and Bishnupur, based on specific intelligence inputs regarding the presence and movement ...
