New Delhi, Aug 2, Aug. 3 -- In a major crackdown on cross-border smuggling and narcotics trafficking, the Indian Army and Assam Rifles, under the Spear Corps, in close coordination with the State Police, conducted a series of intelligence-based joint operations across Assam, Manipur, Mizoram and Tripura throughout July 2026, leading to the apprehension of 43 individuals and the seizure of contraband worth approximately Rs.76.12 crore.
