Ukhrul , July 11, July 12 -- Assam Rifles, in coordination with the Border Security Force (BSF) and Manipur Police, has launched a large-scale search operation in the Nungshang area of Ukhrul district following the July 6 ambush in which two Assam Rifles personnel lost their lives in the line of duty. The joint operation, which began on July 10, is aimed at tracing those responsible for the attack, recovering hidden arms and ammunition caches, and strengthening security across the affected region.Security personnel are carrying out intensive combing operations in residential areas, vulnerable routes and adjoining forested terrain, while maintaining close coordination to prevent any further threat to civilians and security forces.Officials...
