Jammu, June 18, June 18 -- A major achievement for the fruit growers of Jammu & Kashmir. Northern Railway's Jammu Division has set a new record in fruit loading in 2026. Thanks to the efforts of the Jammu Division, cherries and litchis from local growers are now reaching major markets across the country quickly and safely.This year, approximately 250 tonnes of cherries were loaded from Jammu Tawi railway station for major metropolitan cities like Mumbai, Vadodara, and Surat. Meanwhile, around 10 tonnes of litchis were dispatched from Pathankot Cantt railway station to Mumbai, Ahmedabad, and Surat.
