March 05, March 5 -- Continuing its sustained drive against illegal mining, Police have seized 12 vehicles in Shopian, Ganderbal & Baramulla. In Shopian, during routine patrolling, a police party from Police Post Keegam intercepted three tractors engaged in illegal mining activities without mandatory permissions. In this regard FIR No. 27/2026 under relevant provisions of law has been registered at Police Station Shopian and further investigation has been initiated. In Ganderbal, Police Post Nagbal conducted a special drive within its jurisdiction and successfully seized 03 tippers found transporting illegally extracted Minor Minerals.
