J&K ends August with zero terror violence
Srinagar, Sep 2, Sept. 3 -- Jammu and Kashmir recorded zero terrorism-related incidents in August, making it the second month this year to pass without terror violence, according to official data compiled by the J&K Police. The data shows that August witnessed no terrorism-related incident, civilian killing, security-force fatality or terrorist fatality. June was the first month of 2026 to record zero terror-related violence in the Union Territory.The achievement came despite a series of security alerts and preventive operations across vulnerable areas.
