J&K Braces for More Rain as MeT Forecasts Hot, Humid Weather and Thunderstorms
Srinagar, August 19, Aug. 19 -- Jammu and Kashmir recorded significant rainfall during the past 24 hours, with Jammu district receiving the highest precipitation at 88.7 mm, according to the Meteorological Department. MeT data showed that Samba recorded 85 mm of rain, followed by Kathua at 76.6 mm, Katra at 48 mm and Udhampur at 32.2 mm. The MeT Centre Srinagar has forecast generally hot and humid conditions across Jammu and Kashmir from August 19 to 22, with one or two spells of light to moderate rain and thundershowers expected at scattered to many places.
