J&K braces for heavy rains, flash flood risk: MeT
Srinagar, July 19, July 20 -- Jammu and Kashmir is likely to witness another spell of intense rainfall over the next few days, with the Meteorological Department forecasting heavy to very heavy showers in several districts and warning of possible flash floods, landslides and waterlogging in vulnerable areas. According to the latest weather advisory, the Union Territory will remain generally cloudy with rain and thundershowers at most places. Heavy rain, brief intense showers and torrential spells are likely in some districts, with isolated areas expected to receive heavy to very heavy rainfall.The advisory has specifically warned of extremely heavy rain over Reasi and Udhampur districts of Jammu division during late afternoon/evening hour...
