Srinagar, Aug. 24 -- The historic guest-house complex near the revered shrine of Hazrat Sheikh Noor-ud-Din Noorani Nooruddin Wali (RA) at Charar Sharif in Budgam is undergoing a major facelift, with renovation, expansion and modernisation works progressing rapidly. The guest houses, located on the western and southern sides of the shrine complex, have a long and significant history associated with the movement of pilgrims visiting Charar Sharif. Historical accounts suggest that the site was initially developed as a basic resting place for pilgrims during the period of Ali Shah Chak.
