Jammu, July 19, July 19 -- Heavy rainfall disrupted traffic movement at multiple locations along the Jammu-Srinagar National Highway, NH-44, after mudslides and shooting stones were reported between Jakhiani and Chenani on Sunday. Officials said continuous rainfall triggered several mudslides and stone falls, affecting vehicular movement on the highway. The National Highways Authority of India immediately deployed men and machinery to clear the debris and restore smooth traffic movement. Clearance and restoration work was underway on the affected stretches at the time of filing this report.
