Anantnag, Sep 3, Sept. 3 -- Congress leader and MLA Ghulam Ahmad Mir on Thursday joined protesting intern doctors at Government Medical College Anantnag, extending support to their demand for an increase in the monthly stipend. The interns have been seeking a hike in their stipend, stating that the existing amount does not adequately reflect their workload, long working hours and responsibilities during the internship period. Mir met the protesting interns at the medical college and heard their concerns regarding the stipend as well as their working conditions.
