Poonch, September 6, Sept. 6 -- The Forest Department has sought registration of an FIR against two persons accused of assaulting a Beat Guard during official duty in Poonch district. According to the Forest Range Officer, Haveli, the incident took place on Sunday during the extraction of departmental firewood from Compartment No. 182/H in Banwat for cremation purposes. The officer alleged that Abdul Majid, son of Aziza, and Mohammad Aftab, son of Fazal Hussain, both residents of Banwat, attacked Beat Guard Poonch Mohammad Shabir while he was carrying out his official duties.
