Flash Floods Inundate Parts of Bandipora, School Shut as Heavy Rain Disrupts Normal Life
Bandipora, July 31, July 31 -- Heavy rainfall on Friday triggered flash flood like conditions in several parts of north Kashmir's Bandipora district, inundating residential areas, flooding a government school, blocking roads and disrupting normal life. The worst affected areas included Malpora, Saderkoot Bala, SK Bala and Doudwan, where rainwater carrying mud and debris entered residential localities following incessant rainfall during the early hours of the day. The Government Primary School at Ganie Mohalla in Malpora, Saderkoot Bala, was closed after water, mud and debris entered several classrooms, making the premises unsafe for students and staff.
