Srinagar, Feb 13, Feb. 14 -- A possible fire at Ikhrajpora near Radio Colony was swiftly contained by Fire and Emergency Services personnel after a substandard geyser overheated due to a suspected short circuit, causing dense smoke.Multiple calls to the State Fire Control Room prompted immediate dispatch from Fire Station Gowkadal. Firefighters contained the smoke before flames could spread, preventing damage. Locals appreciated the quick response. Officials advised the public to avoid substandard electrical appliances and never leave devices unattended to prevent fire accidents.
