Srinagar, Sept. 5 -- India's successful launch of EOS-05, its first dedicated imaging satellite designed to operate from geosynchronous orbit, marks far more than another achievement in space. It is a statement of technological confidence, strategic preparedness and India's growing ability to use space assets for both national development and security. Launched aboard the GSLV-F17 from Sriharikota, the 2,367-kg satellite was precisely placed into its intended sub-geosynchronous transfer orbit.
