Srinagar, Aug 13, Aug. 13 -- DGP J&K Nalin Prabhat on Thursday conducted a late-night inspection of security arrangements across Srinagar to assess preparedness ahead of Independence Day celebrations. The DGP was accompanied by IGP Kashmir V.K. Birdi, SSP Srinagar Dr. G.V. Sundeep Chakravarthy and other jurisdictional officers. During the inspection, Prabhat reviewed naka points, deployment positions and security arrangements at Bakshi Stadium, the main venue for the Independence Day function. He interacted with personnel deployed on the ground and reviewed the overall security grid.
