Ganderbal, Feb 5, Feb. 6 -- The Design Innovation Centre (DIC) at Central University of Kashmir (CUKashmir) on Wednesday began a 10-day workshop on "Computer-Aided Design (CAD) for Kashmiri Crafts" at its Tulmulla Campus. The initiative aims to blend tradition with technology, enabling artisans to preserve cultural motifs while creating designs suited for contemporary markets. Vice-Chancellor Prof. A. Ravinder Nath highlighted the importance of sustaining handicrafts as a cultural and economic imperative, noting that technology enhances creativity and reduces physical effort.
