Srinagar, March 5, March 6 -- A Srinagar court has held that prima facie offences of criminal conspiracy and criminal breach of trust are established against former Jammu & Kashmir Chief Minister Farooq Abdullah and other accused in the Jammu & Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) funds case, and directed that formal charges be framed. In an order dated March 2, 2026, Chief Judicial Magistrate Tabasum noted that the evidence on record discloses prima facie violations of Sections 120-B, 406, and 409 of the Ranbir Penal Code (RPC). The case relates to alleged financial irregularities and misappropriation of JKCA funds.
