Srinagar, Oct. 31 -- Chief Minister Omar Abdullah today laid the foundation stone of the Central Veterinary Hospital at Athwajan, Srinagar, marking a major step towards strengthening veterinary infrastructure in Jammu and Kashmir. The project, to be constructed at an estimated cost of Rs. 11.91 crore, will serve as a state-of-the-art centre for veterinary treatment, diagnostics, and animal welfare service. The project is being executed by the Public Works (R&B) Department and will cater to the growing needs of livestock owners and dairy farmers in the vicinity.
