Srinagar, April 18, April 19 -- Chief Minister Omar Abdullah flagged off the first batch of Hajj pilgrims from Srinagar Airport, marking the start of Hajj 2026 operations. Three flights carrying 431 pilgrims departed on the first day, while 28 flights are scheduled till May 5 to facilitate 4,706 pilgrims from J&K. The Chief Minister wished the pilgrims a safe and spiritually fulfilling journey, as emotional scenes unfolded during their departure.
