Srinagar, Aug. 1 -- Cloudburst Damages Houses, Shops in Chhatroo; Road Reopens for Light Motor Vehicles Kishtwar, August 1: A cloudburst triggered flash flood-like conditions in the Chhatroo area of Kishtwar district on Friday, causing partial damage to two houses and two shops and prompting authorities to launch immediate restoration efforts. Deputy Commissioner Kishtwar, Pankaj Kumar Sharma, said the incident occurred after a cloudburst upstream caused a drain passing through the Student Market area to overflow, sending large volumes of debris and mud onto the road.
